Focus and Scope

The Journal of Teaching of English is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the publication of original and up-to-date research on the teaching of English as a second or foreign language. Our journal employs a blind-review process, in which the identity of the authors is not disclosed to the reviewers. This ensures that the review process is unbiased and that the quality of the research is the primary criterion for publication.

Our journal seeks to publish high-quality research that advances our understanding of effective language teaching practices and approaches, and that has the potential to inform and improve the teaching and learning of English globally. Our focus is on empirical research that employs rigorous methodologies and that addresses current and pressing issues in the field of English language teaching. We welcome submissions from researchers and practitioners in a range of settings, including K-12, higher education, and adult education. We are particularly interested in research that explores the use of innovative pedagogical approaches, the incorporation of technology in language teaching, the role of culture and identity in language learning, and the effectiveness of teacher education programs.

We also welcome submissions that address broader issues in the field of language teaching, such as teacher professional development, curriculum design, and language assessment. Our scope is international, and we welcome submissions from researchers and practitioners around the world.

We hope that the Journal of Teaching of English will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in the field of English language teaching, and will contribute to the ongoing discourse on effective language teaching and learning.
