The Use of Dropbox to Improve Students’ Writing Skill on Recount Text in SMAN 10 Kendari

Abstract

This study aims to know whether dropbox  can give effect in students’ writing skill to make recount text at SMAN 10 Kendari. This study used pre-experimental design which was using only one group at the pre and post test design. This study used writing test to determine whether dropbox can improve students’ writing skill. Subject of this research is all students at grade XI MIPA 3 at SMAN 10 Kendari 2020/2021. The data was collected by giving pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The data was analyzed using paired sampe t-test at SPSS 23 to know whether H1 is accepted or rejected. The results of this study show that there is a significant improvement between pre-test and post-test score from 69.72 to 79.6. based on the students’ score pre-test and post-test is improve. Besides, the result of the paired sample t-test showed that H1 is accepted. This can be seen from the significant value α.p (0.000) < 0.05 which means that h1 is accepted and ho is rejected.  Therefore, dropbox can enhance students’ writing skill.
